Researchers performed this study to examine the possible alterations in postural control during upright standing in subjects with non-specific chronic low back pain.

Additionally, they wanted to examine the effect of Kinesio taping on the postural control.

It was found that subjects with non-specific chronic low back pain have poor postural control mechanisms. Results further demonstrated that Kinesio taping appears to quickly improve postural control and have lasting effects until the day after.
