Extra-Curricular Sport and Child Development

Joining a sport-team is one of the most popular extra-curricular activities among children. This study aimed to determine the effects of children’s participation in extra-curricular sports.

It was established that participation has a positive impact on children’s health, education and behaviour. Specifically, results indicated that children’s school grades and their relationships with their peers can improve considerably.
