Chiropractic Care

Are you looking for a chiropractor around Cherrybook?

Chiropractors can relieve pain, and treat a range of spinal injuries and nervous system problems, through the use of gentle movements called ‘adjustments’.

A chiropractic adjustment involves using specific force in a precise direction, applied to a joint that is fixated, ‘locked up’, or not moving properly. This can be done manually, with the chiropractor’s hands, or through special instruments.

Treatments can be quick or slow, firm or soft pressure. It all depends on the patient and their condition.

Chiropractic is a safe and natural procedure, which helps improve spinal and nervous system function. In fact, many people report that they find the treatments relaxing and pain free.

What conditions can chiropractic care treat?

Chiropractors treat a range of spine and nervous system problems.

  • Neck pain
  • Mid back pain
  • Lower back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Radiating arm and/or leg pain
  • Chronic aches
  • Stiffness
  • Loss of spinal flexibility
  • Back strength
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Fatigue

How quickly can I expect to feel a difference?

Individual results vary, from person to person. Some people report experiencing noticeable pain relief immediately.

How many treatments are needed to get out of pain?

We do not believe in over-servicing our patients and believe effective treatment will see you pain-free, and keep you pain-free.

Each patient is different; ultimately the number of treatments will depend on:

  • How long you’ve had the problem
  • How much damage has occurred
  • How much spinal degeneration, or disc damage, is present
  • Any present nerve damage
  • The patient’s overall health and habits

Where there is an acute injury (without underlying biomechanical problems) treatment can take anywhere between 1 – 4 visits. However, if there are underlying biomechanical problems, or if it’s a chronic condition, most patients report feeling relief in 8 – 12 visits.

Chiropractors have university and clinical training. At Aurum Health Care they have extensive experience in a range of complex cases and are committed to helping you achieve feeling your best.
